The Dreamcatcher

In twilight's gentle grasp, where dreams are sown,

A dreamcatcher hangs, in silent splendour shown.

Its woven threads, like captured rays of light,

Bind fleeting visions of the night.

With feathers soft as whispers, beads that gleam,

It guards the gate to every dreamer's dream.

In its embrace, no nightmare dares to tread,

Only sweet dreams may lie ahead.

Beneath the moon's soft, watchful eye, it sways,

A silent sentinel through night's quiet phase.

Each captured dream, a spark, a memory's breath,

A beautiful dreamcatcher, defying death.

And as the dawn with rosy fingers creeps,

It frees the dreams it lovingly keeps.

A tapestry of hopes, of fears allayed,

In the beautiful dreamcatcher, dreams are made.

The power of this poem

The power of this poem functions on two levels:  the beauty of its language, and the content that it presents to the reader.  This is excellent work.

It was pure pleasure to read

It was pure pleasure to read this vibrantly woven, glittering and lighthearted ode to dreamcatchers. My daughter suffered from nightmares when she was young, and the only cure seemed to be mom sleeping in her room, but just for fun I bought her a beautiful dreamcatcher for her wall.

Always loved them and I loved your crisp, mystical, lilting description of them in this marvelous poem.

I will definitely check out your YouTube channel!

Thank you so much for your

Thank you so much for your kind words, and for visiting my YouTube channel, they are so appreciated. Not getting many views on YouTube sadly.

Here is my poem to you, that has sprung from your beautiful compliment.

In whispered tones so softly sent,

A compliment as heavens’ scent,

Where words, like dew on morning's bloom,

Illuminate the subtlest gloom.

O blesséd speech that thus imparts

A summer's warmth to winter hearts!

Thy gracious air, with charm replete,

Makes every echoed pulse so sweet... Laughing
