this written word of mine,

Indecipherable syllables,

word forged in fire and rhyme.

Take it to savor sweet,

 released from my own lips,

it's all I mean to say

to breathe profound significance.

Throughout an entire lifetime

of silent complicity,

my love will forever go on

in tender breaths of felicity.

You have my promised word

of this love that will truly last,

don't make a grave mistake

born of a painful past.
