As You Sleep

As you lay down and rest, let slumber be the goal you face

Let dreaming take its place and bring with it its own grace

For I will touch you then in your dreams, with the touch of love

A touch as gentle as thistledown lightly upon thy beloved brow

Butterfly kisses, so soft and light, in the darkest deepest night

Dream on sweet love, of glorious days and golden moments

So sleep on my sweet prince of mine, let the night take your dreams

Let it bring them to me, that I may tell there tales to the winds of time

Rest beloved in the arms of angels and then awaken to the new dawn

Come lay your weary head upon pillows soft, and drift away on clouds

And I shall meet thee in the land of dreams and touch thy beloved brow

In peaceful slumber thou shalt rest, and I shall guard thee from the rest

Then awake and greet the dawn, come see this bright new morn

For sleep shall not have thee and night shall not claim thee forever

Let the dawn arise, and the morn come, for then we shall be as one

Two bodies entwined, two hearts beating as the one heartbeat,

Two bodies greet the morning sun, the dance of love has begun

And then dear lover shall this dance of love shall soon be done
