The first time ever I felt your love
I felt the earth move under my feet
I saw the stars with their brilliant gleam
The first time ever I sensed your love
I trembled with deep emotion inside
That set my heart a quaking constantly
The first time ever I saw your love
I felt its hunger and need of mine own
And I responded unto its call to me
The first time your love touched me
It reached down to parts unmoved
Into depths of me not yet reached
The first time I sensed your love
It set in motion such deep tremblings
That stirred the loneliness within me
The first time your love looked on me
Those stars shone in mine eyes too

For the first time I have felt love
It caused a stirring within my heart
For the first time I have sensed love
It caused an emotion that moved me

And my soul was brought to tears

And it was you that gave it to me
