The Fallen Rose

Folder:
death

Amidst the thorns

and bushes of weeds

Lies a Single rose

There on the ground.

Its stem broken

Its petals dead

With the wind that blows

The life out of this fallen rose.

Like a life merelythrown

Cast out to the side

Meaningless and unuseful

And left for dead.

Its leaves that were green

Now a pale shade of brown

Its thorns now dull

from time's harsh frown.

Its stem broken

Its petals dead

WIth a wind that blows

The life out of this

Fallen Rose

A poem filled with sadness and hurt from deep within. Yes, all roses have to "die" sometime, but still their perfume lingers and the wind carries their petals to a new horizon...therefore it is not meaningless!

Kind regards
