I thought I knew what life should always be about
I never had even the slightest doubt
I built my life on pre-dispositions
And through those thoughts made all decisions
Like the day when I met you
I finally thought that dreams came true

Now, there's a darkness in my eyes
A light that I can't find
Somewhere deep inside
Something in me died
The day you said goodbye
I think I thought I should have cried
I should've felt the pain
Watching you walk away
But there's was nothing left for me to say
Knowing now that some things never change

I fell so deep, in love with all I thought was you
I should've known you were
Just like the ones before
Nothing more than a series of false truths
I gave the best of me
Hoped you would always be
There to always share my life
I gave you everything
Thought you would never leave
I chased the fire in your eyes
I gave you all I could
In hopes you always would
Be there to make me feel alive
