She walks through life on paths made of air
Never caring, only living how she dares
Never concerned with opinions or stares
Because she is beauty, amazingly fair

He walks in shadows, afraid to show who he is
Hiding from others who might be scared of him
Darkened from loneliness and disdain
Locked in his castle, desperate and afraid

She is compassion, sincerity, and truth
She looks deeper to find the meaning in you
Never fooled by the masks born of pride
No, she's the one who looks at you from the inside

He stares at darkness, his heart shattered and used
Conspiratorial circumstances, so sad, but so true
Always stalking the shadows, for some sign of truth
To discover the reason he is sheltered from you

She found him hiding in his castle on the hill
From that moment, she saw the truth inside of him
She looked deeper than the damage on his skin
To discover the real soul buried deep within

He pushes her away to protect her from him
But he just doesn't notice, she still looks within
Because outside he believes he deserves what's happened
But she knows he just needs to let someone in

The beauty so warm and alive
Trying to reach the beast in the night
She shines on him to bring him to the light
And he hides, afraid of what she might find

She knows he's a hero, even though he denies
And he knows she won't give up, no matter how he tries
This connection of kismet connecting both of their lives
This beauty and this beast who live in the night
