True Emotion

As darkness enfolds us and death is circling
I will think back to all those old memories
The good is forgotton
But the hate and the resentment are always so fresh and new
My last thoughts of you will be the darkest ones yet
You have taken all my joy and filled me with regret
So when death finally comes
I will embrace it with the widest of arms
And whisper you those words that have always been in my heart
