Acceptance

You conquered the demons

That invaded my dreams.

You stood by my side

When the world turned mean.

You’re someone I’ll wait for

I’ll do all; even die.

But a love must work two ways

Like without wings, angels won’t fly

I’ve fought for so long

To keep love out of my life.

But you created the door

And we’ve made love our wife.

You turned on the lights

And opened my eyes.

You’ve cured my blindness,

You saw through my disguise.
