Loss

“He was only nineteen” said someone.

“Must have been doing a hell of a speed” said his friend.

“One of the firemen knew him, they sent him straight home,”

Said a third.

“Hell of a mess,” they all agreed.

“If the seat belt had held, they'd have nothing to bury”, said the bus driver,

“The car was just all melted.”

He was only nineteen, my big strong boy.

Doing a hell of a speed, when he hit the tree.

The firemen all knew,

But one loved him.

Hell of a mess, that I’ll agree!

The seat belt did hold, but the floor gave way,

As our lives just melted.
