My Evil Stepmother and I

My evil stepmother and I became lovers and we killed my dad.

We did it so that we could get all of the money that he had.

We were greedy and we made sure that Dad would Rest in Peace.

But we made a fundamental mistake, we underestimated the police.

I pushed Dad off the roof and tried to make it look like he accidentally fell.

But the police didn't buy it and now my stepmother and I are rotting in jail.

The cops figured out that my stepmother and I were lovers.

They used their ingenuity to make us turn on one another.

Now as I sit in my cell, I feel pretty bad.

I feel like a piece of trash for killing Dad.

Dad had over a hundred million dollars but in the end, it did me no good.

If I could travel back in time to stop myself from killing my father, I would.

The great writer of ghost

The great writer of ghost stories and science fiction, Charles Beaumont, has a story in which a man goes back in time to kill his own father for abusing him.  He went back in time, to just before his conception, to kill his father who had badly abused him---even though the mathematical theory suggested that he would be changing his own personal history, and never be born.  He went to the right house, saw he had the right man in front of him, and blew his brains out.  Then he ran off, and returned to the time machine, which brought him back to his present time.  He confessed the murder to his wife, and she pointed out that he did not much resemble his father physically.  Then he remembered a man lurking about the neighborhood, in the vicinity of his parents' house, just before his father had arrived home from work.
