Make me up
fill the mould
set the cast
bend and fold
drain my will
take my hope
shade me in
I can cope
better still
cut me down
paint the smile
on my frown
dress me pretty
pose me right
tan my body
conceal the white
no longer me
but better built
once a rose
and now I wilt.
This is lovely. Pretty much what every teenage girl goes through in at LEAST one hundred times in her life. And not even teenagers, at that. A full-grown woman can most certainly feel the same.
But I love this and thank you for sharing.
