It's mad out there in
the world I live.
The kid fights everyday
to keep it positive.
I have to keep my head tight
cause I gotta keep goin'.
And make sure my game's tight
so I could just keep flowin'.
Day after day, I watch my
hoodie's demise,
cause cats stay rollin' that
ghetto corner enterprise.
But my goal is not to end up
in my building laced with flies.
So I just keep flowin'
and try to keep my actions wise.
Uncles and crackhead aunts,
sisters and crackhead brothers.
Babies havin' babies,
often soon discover,
He stole your entire childhood,
when he took you undercover.
You have to love yourself,
before you can love others.
So I Just keep flowin', and
say "No" to honor my mother.
My freedom from these streets
is, one day, gonna come.
And I'll travel to those places
where there ain't no need to run.
But until then, I duck those
substances that'll surely get ya done.
And I try to just keep flowin'
like a river in the Sun.
So pay heed to the brother's message,
take it like a Sunday meal.
No matter where the hoodie, keep
your cypher tight and check the seal.
Show love to all around you,
and give them something they can feel.
And no matter what, just keep flowin'.
Cause to keep the flow...is to keep it real.
