What's In A Look?

Folder:
Desire

What's to see?

The victory of a new dawn quickly

approaches and we sing with its

arrival. However, my glances are

stolen ones which allow me the

chance to gaze with impunity.

What's in a view?

Long longing looks I ain't

tryin to cover up cause you have

no idea how grand the vista is

to my naked eyes and starving soul.

What's through the looking glass?

No perspective can capture you well

enough to tell the story in a fashion

worthy of your visage.  Yet I drink

of you in time's reciprocation as if

my thirst is without satisfaction.

What frames your essence?

There is no posing with the strength

to display you in the glorious beauty

that makes your bounty pleasing to all

who have taken in the retinal refraction

that makes you substantive.

What IS in a look?

A mutual reversion to the baser instinct

which drives us to not blink lest we miss

the celestial majesty which causes us to

venture forth with purpose.  All the while

seeking what visions we may make and which

may be shown to us in unison with the story

so tightly wound and intertwined that our

senses are barely adequate to gaze upon its

true form unprotected.

I wear shades. All the time. In this way,

I may see you clearly...

every...

single...

day!

Now that I've looked, can YOU see ME?

Simply mesmerizing! However, being able to see the beautiful must also include the neccessity to see oneself as so...something not all of us are able to do.
