My love for you began
the day our eyes met.
Strangers at first.
I, I was willing.
You shied away.
Friends maybe, you think?
We could begin as such.
Then see what it becomes.
No, not yet, you will not give.
You shied away.
Seeing you everyday
at the work place,
side-by-side at times,
seperate, to me-one.
You shied away.
So much time has passed,
you went away to visit.
A near-death experience
met your fate one day.
You shied away.
Lost and lonely, I wondered,
watching the days pass.
The hours, the minutes,
even the seconds without you;
You shied away.
Mulling through the paperwork,
I felt a warmth, a closeness.
I looked up from my position,
our eyes met, you have returned.
You shied away.
Back together, as we should be,
a second, moment, an hour
meant more than anything to me.
Away with you, again you went
circumstances beyond control.
You shied away.
My heart grows more weary
with each passing day.
The days are long and lonely
since: You shied away.
I never gave up,
I knew one day,
you would return.
We'd be together again.
And ... So you did.
Our eyes met. Bodies stern.
Our love stronger now.
Our attraction to each other
was mutual and compelling.
I knew now, we would be one.
And ... So did you.
Many years later,
when our eyes meet,
strangers we are no longer
our love has never changed;
just matured along the way.
Now there's no wondering...
We Are One

You have definitely done some very good work this week. I like this one and have been there in my dreams. I was usually the one who was shy. LOL Thanks for all you do for so many.
