Right! Writing is quite "rough at times," especially because it requires of us to look inside/outside ourselves honestly, and confront whatever it is that we find in order to put it into language. The business of poetry has to do with experience materialized into words, but in order to do this well--to call it "poetry"--one must live and re-live one's experiences, analyze its nuances from different angles, being aware of textures, cadences, associations, & so on. This is, of course, my own humble opinion, and my reading of your last stanza. Thanks for the read--"very well--express'd," as Alexander Pope would say!
