United in marriage.
Joined with pure heart.
Residing separate lives
a world apart.
Merged as one
in spirit and soul.
Their thoughts transcend
the ocean wide
like telepathic waves of old.
Each travels their path,
both day and night,
ending together
at the Crossroad of Life.
Envied by some.
Admired by many.
Their love so strong.
Their trust uncanny.
Retiring together in
one abode.
Sharing all things that
life has to hold.
HEART FELT AND BEAUTIFUL
L&P
Beautiful, idealistic poem--just like your friends' "long-distance marriage." This goes to show how right Shakespeare was when he wrote, "Let me not to the marriage of true minds/ Admit impediments. . . ." Did your friends meet through the Web? Anyway, it seems that however they met, their spiritual selves did connect and the whole situattion did work happily for them both. Congratulations. Your poem tells the story in a very economic, evocative way. Thanks for the read. Keep up the good work!
