I saw some pictures today of my childhood days

So I began to realize one fundamental thing

In those pictures, their was always a smile

never once did you see before or after the photo

It would never capture what happened next

For my 12 year old birthday, I was standing behind a cake

The photo didn't show Right before, when I cried for a father

When I was 14, I saw a photo of me with some uncles

Happy as can be, but it didnt' show them  2 hours later

behind bars, with me thinking what the hell happened

Graduation pictures all over the place...

Never once did I see one tear shed for all the friends

who didn't make it to that point

Some people say a photo is worth a thousand words

Right now, As I see all the smiles and never one tear

I wonder, if maybe they hide two thousand more
