THE BLACK SHEEP

Folder:
"Pain & Sorrow"

‘Tis thy, who sits helplessly

Dark as the ageless night;

Soul pervaded with condemnation

Contemplating on deserting this life

The same blood that fills immensely;

Similar veins that runs intensely

Those whom I’ve shared bliss with

Forbid themselves to reconcile differences.

Abandonment!!!

Rejection!!!

Unqualified love!!!

Thus, life promises nothing

Not even from those whom you share blood.

Cast down upon

Because of the beliefs that thy have taken

Forbidding thy mind to be lured

Into “false education.”

‘Tis thy, who lie helplessly,

Dark as the ageless night

Amongst a field of friends

Who also contemplated on deserting this life.

Having been "A Black Sheep" this poem touched me very deeply. I had never realized just how black I am until now.
The blackness of depression wrpped around me so tight as so not to appreciate who and what I am.
