Dark Embrace

Folder:
June 2002 Poetry

When your strength grows weary,

and your days look dreary.

Your faith in God starts to diminish,

and in the Holy Spirit you wish to replenish.

You start to look for a dark embrace,

satisfying the smile on Satan’s face.

You drown in sorrow once again,

tears mark the spot where Satan’s been.

But undoubtedly God comes through,

when He hears that sorrowful plea from you.

He’ll tear Satan down, and lift you high.

dry your tear drops when you cry.

He’ll replace tears with a smile on your face,

and shelter you from Satan’s dark embrace.
