Love goes beyond the tenderness of feeling it both ways

Reaching beyond the sunshine and dancing in the rain

Fighting the storms of their very darkest days

Just to stay together through the worst of pain



Love goes beyond the winds of anger in the air

Healing the heart that felt so despaired

It’s beyond the mist of angry words we hear

And reaches out to wipe away the tears



Love goes beyond the stars that hang from the sky

Entwined with passion and desire

Love sees beyond the desolate eyes

Uplifting each other higher



Love has its own forgiveness for things done wrong

Creating room for accountability and trust

Tearing down the weakness only to be strong

Making complete love out of what once was lust



Though separated, for a time, love still goes on

Becoming a fervent desire

When reunited love goes beyond

Doing anything for your heart that’s required
