You’re never really gone



Though we can no longer see you

We know your presence is here

Safe in the knowledge you’re always near



We still feel you there

In heart, mind and memory



The golden radiance you created never faded



Our hearts will be at peace one day even if not now



Heaven will rejoin us in the future



We all love you and still do



Now you’re our angel smiling down on us



Tears will be shed as we bow our heads

The tears of sorrow, of memories and of laughter and fun



It may seem your life is over but in paradise it’s just begun



Someday we will see you again

We’re all holding on until then



And as each day passes we will remind ourselves



You’re never really gone
