I try to be
strong and independent,
but really
no matter what I say
to make you
see me
that way
I'm very
weak underneath.
I can let
you go do
this and that,
but I need to
talk to you daily
and know I can
lean on you
when I need you
even when
I can't admit
I do.
I know
it's not
an easy task
to ask of you,
but it's even
harder for me
to have to
ask you for it.
If you
can be here
and stick through
I know
I can make it
and you'll benefit
because I'll be
there for you
along the way.
What do you say?
Can you
be at least
my friend?
