Frightened

Love Poems

When I look into your eyes, I'm frightened.

Frightened not by anger, but by happiness.

Your eyes represent commitment, love, undying devotion.

These are things I've never really known until now.

Looking into your eyes is like looking into a crystal bell.

I can see my life before you and how desolint it was,

And then, as if by magic, you appear and change that all.

I see my future, but it's not mine; now it's ours.

Ours to share for the rest of our live.

I see our children and how happy they are.

You see, you don't frighten me, but my mind and my heart do.

Let me know what you honestly think of this please.  It's one of my newer poems.

Eric Cockrell's picture

one of the scariest things in life is pure unadulterated love... cause it means letting go of all those selfish images of who we are... letting go of all the games we play... and the masks we wear.... but when we do let go and walk into the light... all fear vanishes! very good piece... stay true to your heart. eric
