My Heart's Song

Come close to me, closer

Closer yet

And let your head rest upon my chest

Let me hum softly in your ear

While I tenderly embrace you

Listen, can you hear?

That soft thumpping and sweet humming

That's for you

My Heart's Song

It plays gently through out the day

And envelopes me entirely

Reminding me I'm not alone because I have

My Heart's Song

For you, the percussions of my inner workings

Raise up in chorus in a great cresendo

That humbles even the greatest artists

Like Bach or Mozart

And the angels, envious

Of this melody so glorious

Try in vain to mimic

With their trumpets and golden harps

This wonderful tune my being has created

Solely for you

So when your away I feel no longing

And all this life's burdens seem as if nothing

Only because the hymn of my love is so strong

And continues to play

My Heart's Song

Listen carefully to every note

Close your eyes and feel it's depth

With every breath and each heart beat

Listen, music composed only for you

Never pausing, never resting

But continues and progresses

Into the greatest symphony this world has ever known

I sing this way only for you

So I rightfully dedicate it to you

This magnificent tune that continues on entitled

My Heart's Song

A most elegant statement of the heart of woman, and what so many try to give and fain, with faith, fail to find another heart that recognizes what is given. Nature graces all who raach out like this, and I hope there is someone who realizes what a _gift_ it is.
