Paris

For thought to come,

    Awareness may open,

Children look on,

    While adults ponder.

As age completes,

    And sapience improves,

Though wisdom not certain,

    Nor all experience proof.

If ignorance be bliss,

    But moreover an isle,

Where dwells maybe valor,

    Or indulgent denial.

Yet we may compare,

    The now to before,

For today it continues,

    Though yesterday it unsure.

Rich, Very neat, unique and interesting piece! I like this alot: If ignorance be bliss, But moreover an isle, Where dwells maybe valor, Or indulgent denial. Yet we may compare, The now to before, For today it continues, Though yesterday it unsure. What a subject! It is all a state -of-mind, and some things are pre-dispositioned to magic! People that travel to this age-old city today, do so with pre-concieved notions of what it is to be there. It does have that old world, romantic character, and you have to admit that the wine and gourmet breads and foods don't hurt the atmoshere any! lol...I really like the thoughts in this, applied to so many things, including past lovers that we looked upon through rose-colored glasses. Really thought-provoking poem. Thumbs up on this one!!
