They get a view,
By all who stay,
But not enough,
To get through the gate.
Of putrid reminiscing,
Political “ring” kissing.
To take upon themselves,
What they truly are.
An entertainment explicitly told,
To draw us to their fold.
If pain was not a measure,
And this was all to leisure,
I'd thank God to not grow old.
Rich, I like this. Great satire on a well overrated gadget. Thanks for sharing. Linda
With such an intriguing title, i am surprised no one has critiqued this piece, as yet. So here goes.... political, insightful & very satirical. One of your more interesting poems, I must say. Amy
