I present myself to you
I'm here because you chose me
You said you wanted me
No warm and friendly welcome did I receive
Not one familiar face did I see
I'm lost and forlorn as misery invades
I pray for the strength to endure this day
A feeling of helplessness
Created by a choice that you made
Suddenly to my rescue, he appeared by my side
Through his warmth and kindness
My fears quickly subside
We talked and laughed on that very first day
I knew in my heart, a special friend I had made
From that very first day
We became friends for life
If I had read this first, I wouldn't have offered to help you with graphics. My own helper extrodinaire is your good friend Jimmy Conner. lol He is absolutely the most generous person with his ablilty to paint the poems that I have ever seen! Since last Sunday, he has done wonders for my own work simply be supplying a few GOOD instructions. I really liked this poem since I have been in a similar situation several, several times in my life and could relate to what you said. Friends who are there through thick or thin are the best kind.

Hello Tricia, Thank you so very much for the sweet poem. I've never had one written to me, for me, or about me before. Yours is the first. You're right. You did find a friend for life. Love, Jimmy
Tricia What a lovely poem for a friend! Yes, sometimes we all need to write a poem for our friends and tell them how we feel - flowers in words... Regards Donkerman
