Kneeling naked with my head held high,

feeling no shame as I face the world.

We all awaken to this life free of restrictions,

nothing between us and the end of the road.

It is we who place roadblocks in our path,

or allow others to put them there in our stead.

Do not allow yourself to be trod upon in your quest,

for you alone must take responsibility of your life.

Pushing forward, taking control, following your ambition,

until that day when it all comes to its natural end.

No one wants to take that final breath

regretting our life’s winding journey.
