The Following Morning

The following morning

Everyone will be gone

She'll be in Colorado

No reason to really be working

She'll be in Georgia

No reason to really be hurting

They'll be in Texas

No reason to really be asserting

I'm left on my own

With no one here to say

"Hey you, chin up, it'll get better"

I'll be looking down for days

And when they do get back

Where will I be

Will I have dug myself a few feet deeper

In which only the darkness consumes me

Or will I have gotten a grip

That life will just not work out

I doubt that'll happen, but hey, will see

Until then, I'll just go on without

Author's Notes/Comments:

Everyone's leaving; granted they'll be back relatively soon, but how am I to get on, and where am I to get off. A train ride straight to hell.

im still around. at least for 13 more days or so. then i'll be gone. and then what'll you do?! just kidding. listen kiddo.

You're only as happy as youlet yourself be. : meaning the more you let yourself think you're depressed the deeper you'll go down. If you keep reassuring yourself that everything is actually okay, and you let God totally take control, you get a better result than letting all these horrible feelings take over.

you'll be okay. you always have been. and you will be once more. just have faith.
