I remember arriving every day from school to see my mother´s knitting. Thousands and thousands of yarns resting over her knitting table. It didn´t matter what hour it was, for her it was knitting time. The excitement of her every time she got a new yarn, was like a kid receiving a piece of candy. She could go on and on, and didn´t get bored. Hours passed by, and every time I saw her she was doing the completely same thing, knitting. I remember how excited she was, one day I came home from school and told her I just signed up for knitting as my optional class. On my first class I was amazed on how difficult it was, I always saw my mother knit so naturally, she made it look so simple, with no difficulty at all. For me, it was not easy, it was horrible, definitely knitting was not a hobby for me. She always told me how I just needed to practice, but for me knitting was a sacrifice. I remember how overwhelmed she got, seeing my incredible bad-knitted scarf.  That semester I couldn´t believe how she does that for fun, the way she could keep the whole day if she could knitting, it´s a complete amusement for me. How every time we passed by the croche store she needed to stop to buy new stuff, was weird for me. And every time I saw her knitting my mind just went on and on, on what she was going to do with that amount of knitted stuff, she could dress a whole army if she liked. I took me one whole semester knitting just one pair of gloves and a scarf, my mother takes only one hour to do that. She is like a knitting robot, probably she could do 10 scarves a day. A good thing about her knitting is that on winter I have millions of scarves to wear, probably one per day. And on special occasions? It is the best! Her birthday? Mother´s day? Christmas? I don´t spend hours and hours thinking what gift to get her, for me it is easy, something related knitting was probably the best. A new set of yarns, a new pattern, accessories, everything made her completely happy. I just don´t get how she enjoys knitting at all, but at the end of the day, the thrill it gives her is amazing, after all it is what she enjoys the most.
