IN LOVE WITH LAP--No. 1

life

was meaningless,

monotonous,

redundant

days pass by

unnoticed

and

without ease

clock

ticks time

in listless

can’t seem to move

can’t seem to turn

mind

is deaden

can’t think clearly

can’t think of any

eyes

are open

but can’t see the color

can’t see the difference

clouds

always in gray

ready to pour the rain

until you came along

now

time ticks in jiffy

life’s been painted with

cherries and dove’s plume

tickling my soul

hovering my spirit high

above the cerulean sky

through you,

i've seen nirvana

and felt it's persona

will someone up there heed me

make not time ticks in hasty

for now my arithmetic have

progressed tremendously

counting every minute we have

in me,

are our cherished bliss

locked safely

and the key

is thrown into

the depths of the sea

Love is sometimes as beautiful
as this poem.
