a grim retooling of the spirits

metabolic rot

clustered

for a stretch of years

around  a force of pure love

skin with sin

the two undisectable

waving in the duration

of the vessel  they inhabit

together

lessons branch out from

mistakes and maneuvers

garnered only from the limits

of a physical submersion

life expiring just a little more

with each moment

devoured

by the hungry mouth

of time
