whether thou art tunnel weary
or in a battle swoon
balance is the broad stroke
for tempests' trivial
matters warrant
what matters claim to prune
horticulturist to the convivial
skills conveyed in vivid disproportion
spake misdirected mortification
the primary culprits lay
in the brutal media
and their careless disconnection
to the reality of what is truly shown
to be beautiful
shallow buyers seek shallow pages
to read and compare themselves to
they layer their lives with shallow coverings
all too predictably buying into such same
shallow realities of the utterly dysfunctional
those who possess inner grounding
and true depth
have no use for the surface scratches of society's
supposed hierarchy 
gathered from the more obvious fake trappings
the grounded and the stable
side step such circus fair
and refuse to be drawn into the maelstrom of
complete nothingness that is the multimedia
trampoline for the empty minded....
