Mark of beast

People say.

But June 6,

Is also

An important day

In American history!

It’s anniversary of

The civic war

A  war that

Would forever

This world.

I heard some

Details of this

War in school

But even hearing

Those details or

Thinking back on

Memories of it,

I just imagine what

All that was like to

Live through that era

And time. I know it was

A painful time in the

World some watched

Their best friends get

Shot bleed to death

Right before their

Eyes. Some died

Of diseases there wasn’t

Enough money to

Search for a

Cruel yet.

It makes

Me feel

Truly blessed

To have all

Freedom medications

Vaccinations

To prevent deadly

Diseases from coming

Our way in this day and age.
