That Secret Sign
I feel the dream of you
When you are gone
Soft golden twilight, falls
on your song
And I surrender, to that face
That fills the sky above this place
with love
And when the soul is over
And when your eyes leave mine
And when you walk into tomorrow
I will say
That secret sign
So lets kiss the wings of sorrow
Lets soar without a fall
Lets float away this deathless day
So lets hear
That secret call
Wow, this poem really, really spoke volumes, with so few words. It's profound in it's simplicity, & very able to invoke images & memories of love lost...
..you have a really tender-hearted, almost meloncholy way of putting your heart onto paper, palpable in it's sweetness & vulnerability...thank-you for sharing...
I especially appreciate the lines,
"And when the soul is over
And when your eyes leave mine
And when you walk into tomorrow
I will say
That secret sign..."
Beautiful.

Thank you
I really enjoy hearing that a poem or something else I may have written has been enjoyed and appreciated by someone. I have written since I was a child. Lost boxes and boxes of my works in a garage fire a few years ago. That was heartbreaking for me because none of it can ever be replaced.
A couple of my daughters like to write and a Grand daughter who is really good. I had intended all my works go to her one day and she could do as she likes with it. Alas, I have little left now and write little these days. Hopefully this winter I can get back into it.
