I Think Of You

I Think Of You

When twilight slips on padded feet

Surrounding me with calm,

When tenderness takes the sweetest path

Soothing my soul like balm...

I think of you.

When hurts assail my bleeding heart,

And all my loved ones fail,

To give to me that needed support,

Reproachful words assail...

I think of you.

When morning's light is creeping forth,

With promise of new day,

When challenges refute my worth,

Yet then I shall not sway.

I think of you.

If EVER sorrow threatens me,

Depression I should meet,

I loose my soul with image pure,

To fly on winged feet.

I think of you.

When no one else can meet the needs

That deep inside me roll,

When unconcern is all I see,

And life has taken toll...

I think of you.

I keep myself in strictest stays.

(I will not change my mind.)

Yet contemplate how life could be

Another place and time...

I think of you.

Where e'er you are, no matter when,

You're never there alone.

A kindred soul can see your face.

In mind's eye you're not gone...

I think of you.

Dear Jessica; YOUR thoughts will NEVER cease to inspire, both yourself, and those who depend upon your lovely insight into the things they've only begun to think of. This piece deserves MUSIC !!! I'll definitely work on this!! Thanks for sharing your insomniacal moments of inspiration with us. Teddy.
