Take more care than usual
When you're dealing with MY heart.
It's scarred and torn and mended,
And it could fall quite apart.
I'm sorry if I've shocked you
But you really ought to know
It may have miles upon it,
But it still has far to go.
And if you'd treat it kindly,
You too might be surprised,
Just look for the depth of love there,
It's written in my eyes.
I like this poem very, very much. It could well be my own fragility of heart you speak of. Well written!
