Taking My Time
I like to take things slow I guess,
But that's OK, it's fine.
I've made mistakes by rushing things
I don't want to do that this time.
I'd rather find out that I'm wrong
By degrees and easing in.
Than to jump into the middle and
To find I'm wrong again.
Some things are too important
To be rushed and hurried through...
Like seasonal changes, or a really good book,
Or falling in love with you.
You are such a good writer Jessica and I have spent an hour in your poetry reading many of your poems. You write from the heart and you are good. I feel your writing.
I also checked out your bio and you look good where you stand. How is the weather in beautiful Georgia?
