Paradox

I hate the bastard that you are,

And that would be the end,

If deep inside I didn't love

The man you could have been.

Yes, Jessica! Exactly! That is it. Ugh.

Jessica, this is one amazing poem! its so short but... it tells so much. And I can relate to how you feel. I guess as human beings we often fantasize things and somtimes when we really love someone we become blinded by what we want to see instead of seeing what is really there. What a complicated process :P but all the best part of being a person. Thnx for sharing!

Jessica, Short, bittersweet and to the point. Just the way I like to read and the way I like to write. I'm going back for more.Later, Spanky

Four simple lines....but speak volumes of truth and revelation. Indeed, life is such a jester sometimes...and such a jerk. We are but mere pawns in a celestial chessboard ??? Smilesz. Thought evoking , most definitely ~ A gem here, Jessica.

EWWWWW! Stinging, scathing, sad, but so much left to read between the lines. This oozes with emotion and frustrated anger. Somehow I see a mirror here too. Again, great piece! Tim
