I’m sorry I only visited your gravesite once,
But my heart was filled with mourning over abundance,
And although the memories of your smile begin to fade,
The memory of your name, will always remain,
Just like the flowers I left on your grave,
The feelings remain, though the colours eventually fade.
souls do not hang around their bodily remains
unless they are earthbound..
Richard
This is a sad but beautiful poem. I think you've painted a universal picture of the feelings and emotions of all souls ...even for those who do not have a grave to visit. Yes, we can close our eyes to reality, but not to memories. Good piece of work!

well, there's not much I can comment to do this justice, but I will say that somehow you have wrote everything I feel in these few lines.
You are a wonderful poet and the world is lucky to have your voice.

I lost someone I truly loved one time. Not a man. The truest dearest closest friend I ever had. When I look at pictures of her from time to time her face is like a stranger, BUT THAT PLACE STILL IN MY HEART, where she lives and is alive with love, never changes. I know what you mean with this piece and I really like what you have to say. This is lovely in its honesty and depth.
Thanks,
Jessica
