Sitting in the darkness

my breath not escaping me

still...

as you walk down the stairs

and out of the house

darkened and untouched

seemingly empty.



I watch you get into your car

from the rain splattered window

my eyes full with tears

that I can't let myself cry

I love you so much

and i want you to stay here

forever by my side.



Rubber to cement connecting

friction makes smoke rise into the air

imagine the smell though it's far away

your car hugs the corner

and then hides from my sight

leaving me here alone

leaving me to ponder.



Shaking my head half regretting

I turn to myself on the bed

a mass of blood and hair tangled

not breathing nor blinking

and I walk to her my hand on her's

saying "why did you mess everything up,

he killed you because he loved you."



Her eyes only stare back uncomprehending.
