That Morning in the Fall

Morning breaks to my dismay

hope not a feeling thus conveyed

for tears wept bitterly in fall

have now revealed nothing at all.

Teardrops on my cheeks have dried

we both can say we never lied

for love once shared between us two

was not enough to kep it new.

Twilight awakes my thirst to dream

to bask in moonlights silver beams

forget the morning in the fall

when I no longer live at all.
