Gone and Dead

These bitter tears do stain my face

why must I even try

these questions beg for answers

each and every start with why.

Don't ask me if I want to die

I am already dead

you pierced my heart with all the things

that you had never said.

What heart do I have left to break

you took that all from me

I could never turn away from you

past this heart I couldn't see.

Don't tell me that I must move on

I can't leave without my soul

you took that when you walked away

and turned my heart to coal.

I'm running out of reasons to cry

they've all been quickly used

a soul that gone, a heart that's dead

a me that's been abused.

i really like this. incredibly stated.. and you rhyme really well, not corny like a lot of ppl who rhyme. I've only written one poem ever that's had rhyming.

Good job! :)

this poem really speaks to me about someone i once knew who did this to me -
he killed me when he walked away and i still dont know if i'll ever live again...
thank you
