if I ever caused you pain

if I ever made you cry

in the persuit of my own gain.



If I ever really made you feel

that life was not worth living

if I always seemed to take

and never once did think of giving.



If I ever made you think

that you weren't good enough by far

if I never let you see

how special you really are.



If I ever held you back in life

as you walked your road of glory

for all the things I ever did
