I thought that love was only pain

to it there was no truth

I was better off without it

thats how I felt in my youth.



I found the love I needed

a love young, wild and free

I find it hard to believe

that there is now a you and me.



Nothing can change what you mean

what you have done to my life

how you have given me meaning

how you ended all the strife.



I thought that love was only pain

but now I know that I was wrong

hope what we have is really real

that what we have will always be strong.
