I will live on when you leave me

I will not shed a tear

I won’t shut me within myself

Just because you’re not here

I’ll live my life and live it well

In the best way that I can

’Cause in this world it is a fact

That there are many better men

I’d give you so many chances

To prove you did love me

But you never took that chance

Is that the way that love should be

So when you leave me all alone

It will be you left in the dark

And if your target is my pain

Then you will never hit the mark

Because I can live on my own

Live my life, truly be free

And it will be you that are sitting

Wishing that you had never left me
