I could trust you

but would it cause more lies

I could want you

but would you blind my star-crossed eyes

I could need you

but would you leave me all alone

I could love you

but would you cast that final stone.



I could hurt you

but would my heart break in the end

I could hate you

but where'd that put me 'round the bend

I could break you

but would my tears fall worse then yours

I could destroy you

but would that hurt me even more.



I could be here for you

but i'd be working by myself

I could take my heart from you

but that would break my mental health

I could spend life alone for you

but that would not be fair to me

I could hold back here just for you

but a life like that I will not lead.
