blood

years lost.

a fantastically warm,

and meaningful visit,

and yet,

I try to make sense of traveling

all those miles

when all we have is always so

close at hand.

the goodbye

so short,

so damn sweet,

and all we really did was say goodbye,

and another promise,

to make it more often.

I reminisce after these two short weeks

of coming home,

and hardly recall what we talked about,

because all I can remember,

is how much I've missed you.

I love you my dear brother.

Aw! That's really sweet.

Aw! That's really sweet. Sounds like how I'll likely feel after I finally leave my mom's (probably tomorrow). I'm sure gonna miss her.

Well...a bit different kind

Well...a bit different kind of "I've missed you". In the poem it's more of a "I've been missing you since we were kids" sort of feeling.  But that's good you'll see your mom tomorrow!

....thx for reading hw.

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "

i suppose, it is kinda what I

i suppose, it is kinda what I mean... it's not often that I have seen her over the many years since I was a kid and left.

Many miles have been between us... and I do feel this way about my brothers too. Again, many miles and years between...

Seein mom has been great! I will miss her again when I leave.

Yes...almost like how as we

Yes...almost like how as we age, even when we are together...it is not enough. We know too well how short life is, right?

.... but then the closeness, rekindled in brief moments brings back the volume of how meaningful those relationships were, are, and forever will be.

.....

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
