Did I stumble on a love thing?
Did I tug upon a heart string?
Did I shuffle up romance?
Did I learn, at last,...
to dance?
Did I prompt a fresh revival
through improbable arrival,
where the starlet takes your hand?
Did I win the up crest flower
deep within my darkest hour?
(That's the last scene I had planned.)
I'm more than just a little tramp that weeps outside the park.
Much more than just her little tramp...
I've learned to act the part.
Charlie Chaplin...Charlie Chaplin...
'Got a Charlie Chaplin heart!!
Charlie Chaplin...Charlie Chaplin...
'Got a Charlie Chaplin heart!!
Did I stumble on a love thing?
Did I tug upon a heart string?
Did I shuffle up romance?
Did I learn, at last,...
to dance?
When I saw this title I just had to read it. I have always loved Charlie Chaplin. I live in California and a couple of weekends ago my husband visited a little place called Niles that is in northern California. Back in the day before Hollywood that is where Chaplin and a few others made movies. I loved this poem so much.
I loved this one, I have a weakness for poems that begin the way they end. I just loved the flow and wording of this one :) I am gonna send the link to my best friend
